The Davao Food and Wine Festival 2024 is set to be a month-long culinary celebration, offering a delightful mix of flavors, art, and unforgettable experiences. Running from October 4 to 27, this festival brings together renowned chefs from around the country and abroad, who will craft dishes inspired by Davao’s rich culinary culture and local ingredients. Kick off the month with Nurturing Roots at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation on October 4, where you can invite family and friends to enjoy a menu all inspired by Davao’s rich local produce crafted by chefs from ROOTS Siargao, namely Filippo Turrini, Marina Castañeda Matos, Ines Castañeda Matos, and Ricardo Miranda de Sousa. For those passionate about culinary delights and artistic expression, don’t miss the Coffee & Cacao Experience at Abreeza on October 5 and 6. This event will highlight Davao’s exquisite coffee and cacao through tastings and workshops led by experts like Vernon Carandang and Mark Rivera of Sula, Treena Tecson of True Chocolate PH, and Shiela Reyes Lao of Cacao Culture, who will showcase their skills and knowledge.

Afterwards, if you’re looking for a fun night out with friends, head to Palettes & Pairings: Conversations in Art, Food, and Cocktails at Galleria Raphael, Azuela Cove on October 5. Experience the perfect fusion of culinary art and visual creativity, featuring cocktails crafted by Mixologist Carlos Mangcupan of Taste of Home and @gaydrinkingwithcarlos, alongside Mark Rivera of Sula. Fancy a cup of tea? Have a sip of The Art of Tea: Kitto x Dilmah which will be held at KITTO Cafe on October 9. This event is a tea-haven for those who want to enhance their tea selection skills and pairings along with other enthusiasts. Experience an exclusive sommelier-led wine pairing event featuring the talents of Chef Annie Cacho-Garcia from Ristorante Spirale, Sommelier Meg, and the renowned Olive Puentespina of Malagos Cheeses. Chef Annie will prepare creative dishes showcasing the exquisite local cheeses crafted by Ms. Olive, all paired with expertly curated wines, promising an unforgettable wine night with friends.

Then, indulge in A Wine Affair at Davao Wines on October 12. Chefs Brandon and Joel Rodriguez will take control, curating a special menu designed for you and your friends to savor together. With delicious food and fine wines, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and celebrate the flavors of Davao!

Head over to Flames & Beats for a fantastic atmosphere where smoky flavors dance with the rhythm of great music, making it the perfect outing for food lovers and fun-seekers alike. This night of barbecue, beats, and brews at Park Inn by Radisson Davao will be held on October 13! This sizzling event is hosted by talented chefs Jayme Natividad, Axel Zurita, Vance Bolivar, and Tommy Shubert, promising a lively evening filled with mouthwatering BBQ and refreshing brews. 

If you’re looking for a chance to explore different cuisines, don’t miss KASA MISA: 4 Hands Dinner at Misa Dining on October 16! Sip on expertly crafted cocktails from Distileria Limtuaco as you explore the playful fusion of flavors and ambiance that promises to make for an unforgettable evening.

Pizza, beats, and chill on October 19 for Goodfellas: The Sip, Slice & Spin Bash at Waterfront Insular Hotel! It’s a night where delicious pizza meets expertly mixed drinks, all set to the beats of DJ Julian. Chef Cesare Brescia will be serving up his famous handcrafted pizzas, while Mixologist Arnel Abonales mixes cocktails to perfection. Then, mark your calendars for A Fusion of East Meets West on October 24 at Dusit Thani Davao!
