Filipino families know that a true home is more than four walls, it’s where memories are made, traditions live on, and generations gather. As Likha by PHINMA Properties unveils its newest communities in Davao and Bacolod, it’s clear that this isn’t just another high-end development. It’s a thoughtful return to what home should feel like: rooted, warm, intentional.

1.  These homes are “Maaliwalas”, a new luxury.

Imagine sunlit rooms, natural breeze flowing through wide windows, and spaces that feel just right. “There’s a word in Filipino, maaliwalas. It’s a feeling of openness, lightness, and ease,” shares Arch. Gelo Mañosa, who designed the Likha Residences in Davao and Alabang. They highlight that these aren’t just homes, they’re experiences.

These authentic Filipino designs curates a space that leads us back to our local roots, embracing elements that are closely tied to the Filipino identity while offering comfort, breezy layouts, and elegant details like cove ceilings and natural light-filled rooms.

2. Likha offers homes with heritage, not just imported style.

From the jalousie-style windows for natural ventilation and Mandaya-inspired touches in Davao to sugar cane palettes in Bacolod, every element is a nod to Filipino traditions, thoughtfully blended with modern living.

In Bacolod, Arch. Royal Pineda drew inspiration from sugar plantations, infusing the community with the rich hues of “cane red” and “hacienda white.” He asks, “Why should Filipinos settle for Mediterranean villas?” Instead, Likha offers homes that reflect us. These homes are designed for our climate, culture, and lifestyle.

3. These spaces grow with your family.

For many young Filipino women dreaming of their own space, Likha offers homes that fit today’s rhythm. “Many millennials aren’t looking for big houses anymore,” says Alice Villanueva of PHINMA. “We want spaces that are beautiful but manageable, flexible, and built with meaning.”

Designed with purposeful architecture and culturally inspired details, these homes blend everyday comfort with smart, stylish practicality. Saying goodbye to oversized homes that are hard to maintain, welcoming boutique townhomes and premier lots that’s tailored to your family’s lifestyle.

4. The Likha community is where culture lives on.

More than a home, Likha is a way of life. This is where shared spaces invite real connection. “We’re not just designing homes,” says Arch. Pineda. “We’re creating an experience, a Filipino home.”

The Likha communities offer parks, clubhouses, and shared walkways that bring a community together. As they aim to not just build houses but to instill the essence of bayanihan.
