Last month’s summer escapade in the province and island of Palawan still seem like a vivid dream, back now in Metro — missing dusting off our feet from the sand, basking into the warm waters of the beaches, and enjoying the company of other travellers from the second installment of #AlohaPalawan, one of exciting and rising annual adventure lifestyle event that celebrates nature, culture and tourism in the Philippines.
We love the various occasions held across the four-day break, enriching ourselves with the beauty of hiking, fun in aqua parks, turtle releasing and more. It is definitely an ideal holiday filled with an unending charity of feasts, parties, and nature activities that enjoyed by locals and tourists.
Here are the highlights of our #AlohaPalawan experience which ran from April 27 to 30, in photos. From the good, unpredicted and everything in between.
Enthralled by the Summer Fair event brought by Kamia Bay Resort, locals and tourists commune together experiencing an adrenaline rush set of challenges highlighting the largest aquapark around town. Playing, dancing, eating our hearts out!
This brought people from diverse backgrounds together to revel in the island’s beauty. Seeking magic and love, Dwaine & Shanta vlogged their way all throughout this whole experience!
Once the sun sets, warm, cozy, tropical gatherings took place on the grounds featuring bands, tribal dancers in Microtel Inn & Suites while a rooftop cocktail dinner with acoustic performers graced Hue Hotel and everyone just genuinely have a good time alongside food and booze. Brought out the inner child in Ed from Lost in The Philippines trio.
There truly is something for everyone. Even with unforeseen gloomy weather, we witnessed Turtle Encounters committed to taking care of sea creatures where a batch of turtle release happened on the shores of Inaladelan Island Resort.
One of the things the crowd loved the most is the tasty array of food throughout. It’s a foodie paradise of unique and delicious authentic dishes. Bringing simple BBQ, seafood plates, fingerstyle comfort food, buffet specialties, and booze!
This escapade never ran out of the stunning landscape and sceneries. Staying at the Long Beach island perfectly wrapped our adventuresome, tranquil get-away. Even Patrick, a Palaweno, can’t get enough of his province’s natural gems.
Sure, everyone was drained every end of the day and it felt like all bodies ran through several consecutive marathons but hell it was all worth it. If there is one thing that was proven true this year, it is that #AlohaPalawan is truly impressive, vibrant and remarkable.
This wouldn’t have been possible if not for the incredible team of TPL PH who were the main backbone for organizing this special affair. And we definitely want more! Until next year! In the meantime, this pretty much sums up where we’re at.
